The Bagabag Police Station renders a free ride to its constituents plying Barangay San Geronimo to Barangay Baretbet on October 19 starting 8:30 in the morning. The Libreng Sakay of the PNP is one of the good deeds/program that PNP can offer in this time of pandemic.
The PNP continues to augment public transportation needs through its Libreng Sakay Program that offers free rides to Authorized Persons Outside of Residence (APOR). This is to help ease the burden of the APORs amid the limited operation of public transportation due to the implementation of the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) in NCR and its nearby provinces.
Chief PNP Gen Guillermo Lorenzo T Eleazar has given the public the assurance of the continued service as he tasked the Directorate for Police Community Relations (DPCR) and the Police Community Affairs Development Group (PCADG) to keep the initiative running.
“This is the PNP’s way of reaching out to citizens by providing mobility and other extended services to authorized persons outside residence (APOR) so that they could attend to their work with convenience even while the ECQ is in effect,” Eleazar said.
The PNP ensures that the health and safety protocols are strictly being observed in its free transportation program. Furthermore, passengers are provided with face masks, bottled waters, and useful information materials as supplies allow.
