DATU SALIBO, Maguindanao -- Indigent families in Datu Salibo town affected by the global health crisis have received relief assistance from the Philippine National Police (PNP) on October 19.

Personnel from Datu Salibo Municipal Police Station under the supervision of Police Captain Abdulbasit Kulod, chief of police, participated in the cluster Barangayanihan at Datu Piang and sponsored by Mayor Solaiman Sandigan who provided Food Packs to families of three barangays in Datu Salibo.

Police also took the opportunity to talk about ELAC, Anti Illegal Drugs, Illegal Gambling and the support to prevent the spread of Coronavirus Disease and also to address the prevention of crimes within their cluster. They also gave away flyers to support their campaign.

BARANGAYanihan aims to encourage the community the spirit of volunteerism and gift-giving especially those who are greatly affected by the economic crisis brought about by the pandemic. Likewise, it also promotes awareness and opportunity for the PNP in providing services to the community.
